ADID 는 도대체 뭐고 왜 바뀌는 것인가요? 광고 ID( 이하 ADID)는 광고 사용을 목적으로 구글플레이 서비스에서 제공하는 사용자 별 유니크하고 리셋 가능한 ID입니다. ADID는 광고 수익을 목적으로 하는 개발자에게는 간단하고 표준화된 시스템을 제공하며, 고객에게는 구글플레이에서 노출되는 광고에 대한 컨트롤을 할 수 있도록 도와 줍니다. 예를 들어 저희와 같이 광고사업자는 고객 성향을 분석하여 타게팅된 광고를 제공하는 경우가 있는데요, 구글플레이는 이 권한을 사용자에게 제공함으로써 단순히 ADID를 단말기에서 재설정 또는 OPT-OUT함으로서 고객이 타겟팅 광고를 거부할 수 있도록 하였습니다. 광고에 대한 보다 강화된 통제권을 구글에서 가져가기 위한 작업이라고 생각할 수 있고, 명분상으로는 고객에게 광고 취사선택 컨트롤을 주기 위함이다 정도 일 듯 합니다. 궁금하신 분들을 위하여 보여드리자면 ADID는 이런 형태로 생겼습니다. “38400000-8cf0-11bd-b23e-10b96e40000d” 구글 설명을 그대로 공유합니다.
